AccuZIP Releases July 12 Rates and Rules Update

July 8, 2026

We're pleased to share that the AccuZIP July 2026 USPS Rate & Rules update is on track for the July 12, 2026 USPS implementation. This release delivers support for the vast majority of the USPS changes, helping customers remain compliant with the latest mailing standards while minimizing disruption to production workflows.

HIGHLIGHTS

The July release includes support for:

  • New 3-Digit pricing for First-Class Mail®, USPS Marketing Mail®, and Periodicals, replacing ADC/AADC pricing.
  • Updated Mixed container naming conventions.
  • New tray preparation logic for USPS Marketing Mail flats reflecting the elimination of bundling requirements.
  • Increased USPS Marketing Mail flat weight limits, including Carrier Route enhancements.
  • Updated Bound Printed Matter pricing and preparation requirements.
  • Revised tray, sack, pallet, labeling, container preparation, and Mail.dat requirements for supported mail classes.
  • Support for the latest Content Identifier Numbers (CINs), labeling lists, and Intelligent Mail® preparation standards.
  • Mail.dat updated to DTAC Database Standard Version 25.1.1.0.
  • New SCF Container Preparation and Grouping Support: The July release also includes comprehensive support for the USPS restructuring of SCF container preparation and mixed container groupings.

As part of the transition from ADC/AADC pricing to the new 3-Digit pricing model, AccuZIP has updated presort logic, tray, sack, pallet, labeling, and Mail.dat generation to reflect the latest USPS preparation standards. These enhancements ensure mail is grouped, labeled, and documented according to the new container hierarchy while maintaining compatibility with PostalOne! and the July 2026 USPS requirements.

Periodicals Update

Because the USPS introduced extensive changes to Periodicals preparation and pricing, implementation has been completed in phases:

  • Mail preparation support is complete.
  • Final pricing calculations and printed documentation are scheduled for completion by July 11, 2026, prior to the USPS effective date.
  • Note: Until those updates are available, customers can continue to submit mailings through PostalOne!® and generate USPS documentation directly from PostalOne! as needed.
    • Resolved a referential integrity issue affecting Periodical Mail Flat generation.
    • Resolved an issue that could cause Periodicals Carrier Route presort processing to hang.

Updated Dependencies

  • Postage Statement Updates: PS Forms 3602-R, 3602-N, 3600-FCM, 3605-R, 3541
  • Labeling List Changes: Postal Bulletin #22707, Effective 08/01/26; Mandatory 09/01/2026
  • DMM Drop Ship Tables as of July 5, 2026
