Error: Presort Engine cannot be loaded into memory
If you're getting an error saying the presort engine cannot be loaded into memory, you'll need to manually register the presortcom.dll.
Below are the instructions for manually registering the PresortCOM2007.dll .NET Component for AccuZIP6 5.0:
1. Open a DOS Prompt.
> Start Menu|Accessories|Command Prompt
2. Open the Windows Explorer.
> Right Click the Start button|Explorer
3. From the Windows Explorer, Navigate to:
a. C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\
b. or on Windows NT: C:\WinNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\
4. Open the v2.??? Folder if it is there or v1.??? Folder and go to Step 5.
a. If you cannot locate a Microsoft.NET folder, you will need to download and install .NET 2.0 from:
> http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
5. Using your Mouse, press and hold the Right Mouse button on the Pathname in the Windows Explorer bar and select COPY.
> Note: This copies the full pathname to the clipboard.
6. Click on the Command Prompt window to bring it to the foreground.
7. Using your Mouse, press and hold the Right Mouse button and select Paste.
> Note: The text should look something like this:
> C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727
8. Type a Backslash and the word “regasm.exe”
> Note: The text should now look something like this:
> C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\regasm.exe
9. Press your SPACE BAR to add one space, then type one Quote mark.
10. Open the Windows Explorer again and navigate to the C:\Program Files (x86)\AccuZIP6 5.0\ folder.
11. Using your Mouse, press and hold the Right Mouse button on the Pathname in the Windows Explorer bar and select COPY.
12. Click on the Command Prompt window to bring it to the foreground.
13. Using your Mouse, press and hold the Right Mouse button and select Paste.
> Note: The text should look something like this:
> C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\regasm.exe “C:\Program Files (x86)\AccuZIP6 5.0"
14. Type a Backslash and the word “PresortCOM.dll” and then one Quote.
> Note: The text should look something like this:
> C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\regasm.exe “C:\Program Files (x86)\AccuZIP6 5.0\PresortCOM.dll”
15. Press Enter. REGASM should properly register the .NET COM and display a Successful message.
